The Hyperprobe Launch


We would like to thank all who helped bring this cutting-edge analytical instrumentation to the Geosciences Department!

The Department of Geosciences faculty, students, alumni, and friends will celebrate the launch of the new electron probe micro analyzer on April 25, 2025. The launch of the new lab is possible due to generous gifts from Emeritus Professor Malcolm McCallum. The Hyperprobe will support state-of-the-art microanalytical imaging and quantitative chemical analysis to galvanize new science, industry, and educational collaborations at Colorado State University.
